Keith and Chloe vow renewal
It’s been a while since I blogged…
This assignment pushed me to REALLY believe in myself. If you know photographers, we have a style and comfort zone to take photographs in. We like to control our light and surroundings as much as possible.
Well, this one took me completely out of my zone and pushed me to adapt and overcome. Aniya… thank you for always being that voice in my head (kick-ass Jason…LOL). Also to my wife who constantly reminds me…“you got this”
Chloe and Keith got married in the COVID wave and didn’t have photos after their wedding, they traveled back to Barbados and decided to renew their vows and take some photos. I was lucky to be awarded this opportunity to capture their moments, it also was a push for me to change how I approached situations. Honestly, this was not an assignment but a lesson for me.
The ceremony was short and to the point and we started our adventures to make some memories, Chloe and Keith, thank you! this really took me out of my box. You guys were amazing!
Enough of my yapping, check out these moments!
When sisters decide to shoot...
Epic start to 2018... I can only hope this is the start of things to come.
I received a booking from Adrianna wanting to take some photos with her sister on her arrival to Barbados, I gathered from the excitement, they had not seen each other for a while.
Booking confirmed and I was left to wonder how am I going to photograph these two ladies to make a lasting memory for them. Challenge accepted!!
On the day of the shoot I finally met Andrea, she brought such energy and confidence to the set, it was amazing!! Adrianna was nervous (you would think she never shot with me before) We had such an awesome shoot, thank you, Adrianna and Andrea, for starting off the year on this high note

Portrait Session with Gabrielle
It’s always great to have Gabby back home, I’m sure her parents, friends and family find it equally enjoyable to have her back as well. For me it is the perfect photo opportunity, her piercing stare, thick lovely hair, glowing skin and stunning good looks make for the perfect canvas to create some amazing portraits.
This was our second session and she didn’t disappoint, I was ready to end the session in the first 15mins of the shoot. Hardly remembering the poses I wanted, she made it easy with every turn and angle.
Gabby… if this doctor thing gets too stressful the modelling world awaits you! Thank you for hanging out with me and giving me the opportunity to capture these amazing portraits.

Darlene and Silvestre Wedding Anniversary
Received an email a few weeks ago from Darlene asking about some wedding anniversary photos, we chatted back and fro about clothing and best spots to take photos.
Seems normal right… The shoot was scheduled for Saturday morning and they were returning home on Sunday… (Bring all the coffee)
I wasn’t too bothered as I had done a few tight schedules like this before; it gives me a rush and challenges me to get the shots the clients need.
The morning of the shoot when I finally met Darlene and Silvestre, I immediately had a good vibe from them, Darlene was all smiles with a twinkle in the eyes and Silvestre had his $10,000 smile and firm handshake.
We quickly planned our shoot stages and locations and we started, working with them was a total walk in the park or in this case a walk on the beach.
Thank you Darlene and Silvestre! I hope to see you back someday.
Shout out to Jamel Gittens who must hate me for dragging him out on these early mornings.
Here is what went down at their session
Sherice and David
Two years and going strong…
Had such a fun time with this couple, at first David was all serious and about business (I call this being shy) By the fourth click he was right at home and giving Sherice a handful of trouble. I don’t think Sherice minded at all.
I met this couple last year at a baby shower, Sherice had organized for the photographer, guess I didn’t do a bad job on the shower.
Sherice emailed me and asked about rates and pricing for a wedding anniversary photoshoot. Business out of the way, we planned to capture some moments.
The shoot started off with a downpour of rain and threatened to cancel the shoot. Assisted by Jamel Gittens we braved and pushed through the weather and managed to pull off a fantastic Wedding Anniversary Session.

Tana & Raymond
Where do I even start to describe these two?....
I got a message from Tana one day asking about wedding packages, I prepared the list and emailed it to her. Few days after I received a message from Tana asking if I would be available for her upcoming wedding in December. Quickly checking my schedule I confirmed that I would be free on that date. (The wedding was awesome...)
After a while we met, Tana and Raymond have to be the quietest people I know... I mean super quiet! ... But it was clear that they had their own method of communication going on, a nod or a quick look meant a lot for these two.
In chatting with them I asked what would be your ideal spot for a Pre Wedding session... Tana had the idea of the rising sun along the East Coast of the Island. (rising sun means...getting up early!!)
And we got up early!! Had such a wonderful session with them.
Thank you Tana and Raymond

Risha
Short story on how we met...
Apart from accidently stumbling on her IG, silently following her feed, bumping into her at events. (I am not a stalker) One day I was documenting my wife's friend baby shower and guess who walked in the door...Yup Risha.
They were all at school together and remained good friends over the years, ok so while they were all laughing and catching up on old times... back to me the one in the corner with my eyes open wide and pinching myself... Lo and behold the one i have been silently wishing to photograph was there.
So as old friends go they all got together for a random group photo. (My wife would kill me if I showed that photo) so I had to send the photo to her right? I mean how rude if I didn't
Well fast track to our first official photo shoot at Farley Hill, while taking light and test shots readings my lighting assistant Jamel looked at me and said " You know.. the level raise now, every shoot from now on has to be on point.
With that we nodded and knew this was the starting point... blah blah click click... we wrapped up the session and we had a blast!
From that first session we all knew a second one was going to happen! Thank you Risha for being such an awesome person to work with and here's to many more.
